A quick tip
If you’re new to wire wrapping, start with 0.8 mm wire. It is easier to bend and shape while still being sturdy enough for an ear cuff.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Create the first curl
Take your copper wire and use your round-nose pliers to make a small loop at one end.
Continue the movement to create a tiny curl.
Don’t worry about making it perfectly round. Handmade jewelry has a little character!
Step 2: Create the first flourish
Continue bending the copper wire, gradually moving the wire toward the opposite side.
Create a graceful spiral or swirl.
Try to keep your curves smooth and flowing rather than making sharp bends.
Take your gold wire.
At one end, create another small spiral curl using your round-nose pliers.
This curl will become part of the decorative section of the ear cuff.

Step 9: Shape the cuff
Now it’s time to turn your flat wire design into an actual ear cuff.
Gently wrap the piece around something approximately the size of the area where you want to wear it.
The handle of your pliers can work beautifully for this.
Slowly curve the wire rather than making one strong bend.
Step 10: Create the final ear shape
Finally, adjust the decorative curls and the main body of the cuff so that the entire piece has a gentle arc.
The cuff should follow the natural curve of the ear.
Make small adjustments until you’re happy with the shape.
Don’t force the cuff onto your ear. It should sit comfortably without pinching.
